Oops! Ran out of water. A true test of the Nissan (actually made by Hitachi) engine's toughness. A shutdown after several minutes under full throttle would kill many turbo's. After pushing it back into the water, the motor started like nothing had happened.

This was a spectacular crash, the boat spun and exited the water backwards from the left where the water is slightly brown.

The cause is a small bubble of air entering the jet unit and releasing the suction that holds the boat to the water. It could have been a serious disaster, and is one of the reasons Berkeley jet units are not used for sprinting (it is a problem associated chiefly with their particular design.)
