The Family of Elizabeth Cook

Introduction

The explorer, James Cook, married Elizabeth Batts in Barking, East London in 1762. Elizabeth Batts came from a very large family and one that, for the most part, kept in close contact over the years. The mother of Elizabeth Batts had been Mary Smith before her marriage to Samuel Batts and the majority of Elizabeth's relations were called Smith.

These pages are an attempt to list all the members of the extended Smith family and show their relationships to each other.
