Killed in Action. Served in South African War 1899-1902.

FOX, Sergeant Charles Frederick Dilworth, Machine-gun Section, Canterbury Mounted Rifles, s/o Mr Charles Dilworth Fox of Christchurch and Scargill. Killed in action at the Dardanelles on June 12. During the South African war he enlisted with the eighth contingent as a private and saw active service. In later years he became a keen polo player and was a member of the well known Tipapa team.
