Died
of Wounds. Educated at Mamaku School and was engaged in the timber industry, was a keen member of the territorials for a number of years. Secretary of the Oddfellows Lodge and an enthusiatic member of the Mamaku Sports Club. He enlisted with the first party of New Zealander's which landed at Gallipoli, since then he had been twice wounded and finally met his death in the last great dash of the New Zealander's at Anzac [AWN 02.12.1915]. |
