World War I

Hello and welcome to the World War I section. This was the war that was suppose to end all wars and yet today, wars still go on. For New Zealand it was very costly, with a population of barely one million, over ten percent were sent on active service of which thousands never returned home. Many thousands of these don't even have a recognised grave and are remembered on Memorials in various countries throughout the world.
