A scholar at the University of Paris, Master Jean specialises in philosophy and theology. He is particularly interested in the nature of Magic and its place in God's plan, and conducted a long correspondence on the matter with Choros and Adigius. He has already received some tuition in magic theory from Adigius, and is fascinated by those parts of the hidden world of the Order which have been revealed to him. One day, he'll write a book about it all, but for the moment there is much more to learn.
Currently in Paris.
Scots git.
Like her husband William, Callista is protective of her children. She is heavily involved with the expansion of embryonic Lubeck/Hamburg Alliance in England, which will bring her into conflict with the Gotland Alliance (who currently enjoy favourable trade status). Despite the originally political nature of their marriage, Callista (a daughter of a wealthy Lubeck merchant family) and William (the youngest son of a Hamburg guild master) have come to love each other very much. The grogs of the covenant speculate that Callista has a faerie ancestor, and some claim to have seen her eyes glow in the darkness. This speculation has not been helped by William banning iron tools from the areas in which his family lives.
